Context

Marketing/Advertising professionals and enthusiasts all over Nigeria witnessed the pilot edition of the RedRoom at the National Advertising Conference 2024.

A brain child of mediaReach OMD, the RedRoom was designed to play host to insightful conversations around the waves and tides shaping the present and near future of marketing.

MediaReach OMD was looking for a creative agency to help develop a distinctive visual identity for this vodcast.

Immersion

We took on this branding project with a single-minded mission, to create a visual identity that stands out, not because of its modernity but its depth of meaning in-spite of its simplicity.

As briefed by mediaReach OMD, the RedRoom was to kick off at the National Advertising Conference in Abuja, but was intended to be a vodcast that travels to different places and is never confined to any single room or place. This became our inspiration.

Brand Identity

To bring the brand's vision of a mobile vodcast to life, we created a wordmark logo, designed using a custom typeface that strategically maps out floor plans for rooms of different kinds.

Different architectural structures come into view when we observe each letter of the wordmark logo from an aerial perspective, representing the possibilities of hosting this Vodcast at any event or desired location.

Among the structures revealed in the letters is a spaceport, diner, rooftop pool, and a conference room.

With this logo design, we paved the way for MediaReach OMD to communicate the essence of its new content platform unequivocally with its branding.

Extensions

Beyond branding, the scope of this project was extended to brand-led digital promotion, campaign asset development, and merch designs.

Result

The branding project went on to win the Bronze Award for the Heritage Design category at the 2025 Pitcher Award Ceremony.

Young executives at MediaReach OMD also entered the project for the Cannes Young Lions award and emerged as the 2025 Cannes Young Lions - WECA Media Category winners.
